BW35 Breather pipe.

Hello guys.

Can someone tell me where the breather pipe attaches to the gear box and the easiest way to get at it.

Took the car for mot and noticed a rubber tube hanging down by the exhaust,traced it back and it's coiled up behind the servo,I presume it comes from the gearbox,from what I've read in other posts.

Hi,

Assuming yours is a bw35 it attaches to the front righthand (drivers side) of the pan - on the top side. the attached pics show it outlined in red. Its a real pig to get to - its tucked behind one of the oil cooler pipes. I changed mine when I had to box out - I fitted the pipe before I refitted the gearbox.

Connects to RTC1883.

Quite fiddly to get through if I remember correctly back to my auto days

if it helps i have cable tied mine to the dipstick tube, keeps it out the way and i know where it is.not too much pressure on the cable tie though. its eaiser to get too as well if i need to
