Hi Guys,
I’m looking into fitting the American throttle body injection system to my car. I understand that it needs a engine coolant signal. Does anyone know whether the redundant temperature sensor position on the right hand head would be suitable for this purpose? It was taken out of use by a Triumph service instruction in early 1971, apparently because it was unreliable. Later cars didn’t have it fitted.
Alternatively, the current temperature gauge sender – in the corresponding position on the left hand head – is a device which varies its resistance as temperature changes. Does anyone know whether this could be used for both temperature gauge and fuel injection temperature sensing?
Regards
Peter
