Whats with all these negative comments about the presenters of this programme? As a novice mechanic I have learnt much from them and lets face it, its a programme on TV about repairing old cars, not many of those type on TV.

I, for one, enjoy the program, yes I agree, its not perfect, (what is) but I like them, the programme and the NEC appearences they make.

The only thing to learn from them two is how not to do it! IMHO.

Iagree that it is primarily entertainment and I don't go much on Mike Brewers abilities as a wheeler dealer but I do think that Ed China knows his stuff. OK he takes a few short cuts when he's doing paint jobs and has a mate to help him but most of the mechanical stuff makes sense in the context of the program. The fact that "man maths" takes over when MB tries to show how little he has lost on the deal has little to do with Ed and his abilities as a mechanic.

In many ways what he does is closer to what we can achieve at home than the stuff you see on some of the other channels e.g.OCC, and the other American rubbish or even Mark Evans the TV vet come car restorer with his series 'A xxxx is Born" where money seems to be no object.

As Jeff says "there is always the off button"

I find the program watchable as entertainment and at least it gets classic cars on the tv. What annoys me and others it would seem, is the way MB works out hows hes made a profit when in actual fact in most cases hes down on the deal by the cost of the labour and then some. Unless poor old Ed works for nothing just to appear in MBs spot light.

Also used to enjoy London Chop Shop, wouldnt have wanted to drive any of their cars when finished but it was entertaining to watch even if the show followed the same argue/make up patter between Lepu and the bald bloke every week.

I think they've put Wheeler Dealers on the wrong channel, should be on the Comedy channel

I think the idea of not counting the labour charges is as if we, the viewers are doing the jobs ourselves
