There's amber and then there's amber

I don't know whether to criticise or commend the previous owner's ingenuity.
One real, I guess but damaged, the other not so real. I can't find replacements anywhere, can I leave the lens out and use amber lights?

    John,

Replacements should be readily available. Contact the usual s/hand outlets such as Martin Dimmock (Justriumph), Les Clark or Sebastian at Doastags.

I am sure I have several at home but can't do anything about it until at least the end of the week. Stuck offshore due to a backlog of flights caused by that bloody volcano. And we have fog forecast for Thursday onwards :X:X:X

If you like the 'look', do without and use amber bulbs instead.

Hi John, an amber bulb will make you legal but it'll look bloody aweful, as Dave says, there are good ones about. Martin.

Dave, did you get the job on the Montrose? I'm green this month and working on a geothermal well in Sønderborg. And just as I write this, I havereceived the results of our tests and they are good, which means being home in a day or two ash dependant of course.

              Hi John,

The position is 'on hold pending developments on the platform' - whatever that means. Hope you get home soon.

                John,

Did you get your lights sorted? Do you want me to look out some filters? I have found 1 and am sure I have more.
