Hi All
Just been reading an article in Classic car about security and the rising trend in sub £10K popular classic cars being stolen then sold aboard after the identity has been changed!
They mention the usual alarm, immobiliser and tracker but also suggest Datatag and smartwarter. I have used Datatag and smart water on my motorbike but have never thought about using it on a car:?
Datatag for those who don't know has microchips positioned around the car by gluing them into the body structure fuel tank and seats plus etching a special number into the body panels, windows of the vehicle so if found by the police and scanned will lead them straight back to you the owner
http://www.datatag.co.uk/
Smartwater is a liquid that puts a unique code on your item that is traceable back to you.

They also recommend the use of a tracking devise has anyone used one?
I am in the process of getting another Stag and have been lucky to never have one stolen but will look at increasing the security on the next one.
