Just found my old ignition leads were causing a loss of power at higher revs due to the wekness of the spark, it was getting even weaker as the revs went up.
Changed to some 4 core wire wound performance leads and now much better.
Surprising the difference it makes.
Got them from a company on ebay, tailor made for stag. a bit fatter than normal but not much of a problem. Pic attached for interest.
The old ones were the common ignition lead type of single core of carbonised centres. A lot of them had disconnected and been degraded further by the resulting spark opening up any gaps even further and disintegrating the 'rubbery' cores. I think the wound wire types are much better and much longer lasting, based on my experience.
