Hello everyone, I'm a new Stag owner, I've always been an MG fan (hope there's no animosity!) but I took my Midget for an MOT and there was this beautiful looking Stag in the dealers window, he wanted £10,000 for it but offered me a good deal on the Midget so I bought it there and then.
It's a '71 model, the bodywork is immaculate, and it is excellent condition underneath. The interior is very clean, there were a few minor electrical problems which I've sorted. The only concern is the engine (original Triumph) which is fine at tickover and smooth but generates a lot of smoke when accelerating, so I'll need to sort this out.
I reckon I probably paid a little bit too much for it and will nowneed to savemy penniesfor some more shiny bits to put on it, but this asideI am extremely happy with the car (like a 43 year old child with a new toy!).

I couldn't really tell you the smoke colour as I've only really driven it at night, allI can say is that everyone behind me disappears, and it's not down to speed! It does smell oily though.
