Probably pretty good with a BMW conversion

I have thought about modding the Stag but quite like it standard as well. The TVR is not immune from these LS things either. Me thinks this is quick. http://www.freewebs.com/faster-tvr/

Hey Graham, I am expecting better economy from the LS1 than the Stag with normal driving. The transmission is a 4 speed automatic and the BMW LSD is about the same ratio as the standard Stag at 3.7. Wheels are 17 inch but with low profile tyres keeping the same rolling diameter as the stock Stag wheels. 5.7L compared to 3.0L is a big difference but the LS1 is much more efficient. I am confident I will get better economy and seriously better performance out of the LS1.

As I have mentioned before these conversions are not to everyones taste but when you start counting the years ahead instead of those past, you just have to do it! Photo of Stag with bonnet down attached. Spin

Hi Spin, the car looks great. Not sure if you did the work yourself or had the work done. Either way, you have a great car there.

I certainly did some calculations of the costs of doing an engine and transmission transplant and had a good chat with Stoutgoose about his conversion.

Basically by having the work done, it costs more than I wanted to spend on the Stag. I bought this instead andwill run two toys

Fantastic car Graham and looks to be in mint condition. Those Chimeras are worth $50K plus here in OZ. We can only dream of ever owning one here! Spin
