    Hi and welcome.

I have had 3 stags and not needed a extra fan on any of them, some say that they restrict normal airflow.

check your radiator is good, try back flushing it, and the cooling system ,and that your viscous coupling is working well and all should be ok.

correct water filling as the manual helps too.

thanks for that nick just heard /read so many horror stories! Even in traffic mine runs sweet.

ithought many in stag ownership thought it a very wise choice as well as the other maintainance precautions.

mine had a good test on friday , sat in a traffic jam for hour and a half and it did not miss a beat, did 5 more miles another jam for 20 mins. i have total confidence in the car in traffic, but keep a careful eye on water, oil..which helps cooling.. and the viscous fan. if yours is running well too i would not upset the thing!

Hiya, welcome, you've found the holy grail ! The best fan is a modern high efficiency 16", Pacet do one at a reasonable price, so do Kenlowe but dearer.
I would be reluctant to risk one designed for a specific car as the air flow rate is unknown. Cheers, Martin.

An aircon fan from a Vauxhall Senator (if you can find one) is far better than a Pacet or Kenlowe IMHO. It is big, designed as a 'push' fan, has a steel ring cowel with mounting brackets so it can easily be fitted close to the rad and provides trouser flapping performance for little money. The temp switch, yellow relays and modern flasher unit came free with it. Bargain.

            Mark.
