    Uneven running after changing coolant.

I have just flushed out the cooling system and refilled 30% Unipart blue and the whole engine is vibrating a noticealbe amount. Have checked the carb balance and that is as good as ever. As I fitted electronic ignition 12 months ago does that need any tweeking? Oil pressue good. I'm stumped on this one any help would be much appreciated. Mike

You have probably knocked off an HT lead, or got coolant in a spark plug cap that is shorting one plug out.

      Hi Mike

As Vmad says, sounds like damp HT leads, a good spray with a well known water displacement spray should do the trick.

Done a flush/ renew thermostat degreased engine and went for a run with a fresh sweet engine, however it coughed spluttered ,pushed pulled, and battery gauge showed 11volts with ignition light on. In anger I floored it and held full throttle through the auto box. Result...Volts burst up to 14 1/2 and after slowing down to tick over it ran as nice as ninepence.

Thanks everyone. Its not damp have done the WD trick. All leads are tight. Just wondering if flushing out the engine may have dislodged some leak sealinsidethe head. Is there a good way of seeing if water is getting inside one of the cylinders ?

With the engine running, take off then replace each plug lead, one at a time and note if the engine speed/sound canges; if one cylinder has no change, that is the one misfiring.
