    not Stag related?

    Hello everybody,

amongst other parts in an eBay job lot I bought two NOS engine or gear box mountings with the following inscriptions: "metalastik 31/522 40"and a handwritten part number "88 145 109". Can anybody please help me to identify these parts?

    Kind regards, Dieter.

    Hi Dieter

I vaguely remember when BL were slowly and painfully trying to mergeRover and Triumph they used a prefix to part numbers to differentiate between the two marques.

IIRC 88 was one of those numbers (can't remember if it was Rover or Triumph though). The 145109 is in the general series of Triumph numbers so it could well be a Triumph part.

Rimmers list a 145108, but not a 145109 ! and it's not in the original Stag master parts list.

Can you post a picture of it on here?

Mick Dolphin has 145109 listed as an engine mount for a Triumph 1300.

        Hello everybody,

with Rimmers' help I found out that this part belongs to a Leyland Sherpa 1982 onwards.

        Kind regards, Dieter.
