    Hi Guys

I know theres been lots of posts on water in the Vee, I have checked and tightened all hose clips, what I do not understand is I still have a small trickle of water collecting in the Vee while the car has not been started or driven for two days,I cleaned the area up so it is dry came back 2 hours later to look and theres a small puddle there again:?any thoughts appreciated.

    Cheers Cliff

    Hi Cliff,

Could be manifold gaskets, a core plug, water pump:X or even from a hose if the casting is corroded where it fits. do you know anyone with a pressure tester so you can pressurise it cold and see were its leaking.

I managed to use an ordinary foot pump to pressurise my cooling system. I disconnected the overflow bottle from the rad and connected it up there. Make sure you have a pump with a pressure gauge. Probably not accurate, but it doesn't take much to reach 20psi and you don't want to over do it!

Rough and ready approach but uses equipment you are likely to have to hand!

Thanks for your replies guy's,I was thinking of trying K seal as I dont want to spend the summer working on the car,I missed most of last summer with clutch and gearbox troubles. I'll let you know if it works.

About 10-11 months ago when I noticed a little water in the Vee I very carefully tightened up the manifold bolts in sequence and never saw the water/coolant again.

            Sukh.
