My Mk1 is running really well when cold /warm, but on long runsparticularly on hot dayswhen in overdrive/4th and accelerating to go up hill, it occassionally "misses" tho very very briefly. It never happens at higher revs. Constant temp in all weathers is around < 90. I check my points gap regularly, have a new coil (2 months old) when ticking overand at low revs it passes the 50p balance test! and never happens when weather is cooler !!!Anyone had similar or any suggestions welcomed. It as if it misses justone ignition stroke, but there would be several in a 10 sec period if laboured for a long period!!

Not sure about age of leads and plugs, the coil and condesor are just 2 months old tho

By the way, mine is an Isle of Wight car, supplied by Wadham Stringer in Newport originally on a personal plate, but now on a RDL index - it stayed on the island until just a few years ago.....
