What is this white wire for?

Question 2 for the evening (I've spent a weekend tinkering - can you tell? - Only 2 weeks left before I head off to France :?)

I have just reconnected the windscreen washer pump (wasn't one when I got the car and the wires were just dangling around!). But I have a mystery white wire. It comes into the engine bay in the loom under the servo. It has been terminated in a bullet connector so obviously not original length so no clues there. I've crawled around with my head under the dashboard but can't find where it goes to - it is in the loom and doesnt appear to pop out anywhere I can see. The only thought I did have is whether it went to the alternator control unit which I would imagine the car would once have had - being a Mk1/'72. This is now long gone as I have an LRA460 fitted up on the near side.

Have you got the oil pressure switch connected? I have a stray wire below the servo,it should be to the switch but a previous owner fitted an oil pressure gauge instead and left the wire dangling.

Hi Steve, yes the switch is connected - there is a gauge but it has a T piece and the switch is on there...
