They come out of the diff fairly easy, but you may need a press to get the bearing off the shaft..at least that's how it was for me.
When I had oil leak on the output shaft I had a right chew getting it out to replace the lip seal. I deffinately could not have done it with the diff in situ, it had to come out

        Hi,

I'm just in the middle of doing my side seal and bearing (RHS), see thread "Inner axle shaft (RHS)".

The flange housing and bearing came off with the use of a three finger puller and a little plus-gas. Maybe I was lucky, maybe big bearing diameter and small shaft diameter, so small interference. So, sometimes it can be done without a press, but when looking at other peoples experiences, a lot seems to depend on what tolerances you have on the parts.

I did both sides on mine, one came offeasy with a 3 finger puller, the other I had to preload the 3 finger puller to the extent that it was about to distort the assembly. I then took it outside and dropped it onto the concrete driveway! The shock separated the assembly, however its not for the fainthearted!

          Good luck!

          regards,

          Raoul

Thanks for the advice guys, I'm going to try the easy route first, and add a small amount of Millers Stop Leak to the diff, to see if this helps as it's only a small drip (no comments required thankyou!!)

            cheers,
