My car was running ok until I fitted a Filter King regulator/filter, now it keeps cutting out on me. Sometimes the power is cut straight away, at others it splutters a bit before dying completely. When I check the filter it is full so I don't believe its causing a blockage, the fuel pressure was fluctuating between 2.5 - 1 psi but after I remade the positive connection to the pump it gives a steady 2.5psi reading so it looks like the pump is good.
The car runs lumenition and the dizzy cap & rotor seem ok, plugs & leads changed within last 4k miles. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'm skeptical that both needle valves could block simultaneously, if one were stuck the engine should still run I'd have thought.
