The post about heated rear screen wiring ended with a thanks and the old phrase 'a picture is worth a thousand words'.
If a picture is that valuable, how about moving pictures? Has anyone else here experienced Skype? I was introduced to Skype a few months ago and it is terriffic, especially as we have family in the uSA. Web cams are dirt cheap now; you don't need anything more expensive than about £12 or £15. The software is free to download (www.skype.com) and video calls at any time, even across the world, are free.
I am not suggesting we cart engines indoors, or set up PC webcams in the garage, but just occasionally it may be worth putting a small part, or a diagram in front of a webcam and talking someone through a problem. It would also be nice to see who it is we are contacting on the Forum, and make it easier to recognise each other at events.
Any thoughts?
Dave
