Hi all I went out in the Stag today and all of a sudden the car just cuts out and stops, I have checked the coil, dissy and plugs, I have a spark so electrics seem ok, I have a full fuel filter in the engine bay so I thought all ok with fuel, but when i took off the fuel pipe inbetween the filter and carbs the pump started to pump fuel, so I put the pipe back on and the engine started, a little later it stops again, it seems as if there is an air lock between the filter and carbs could this be so? and if so why, any input would be appreciated, the carbs are stongbergs many thanks, Will

It has been covered recently on the forum. In short, insulate the fuel pipes & filterfrom heat. Anything to keep the fuel cool.Comment
