Following on from my earlier thread about my indicators packing up suddenly, my brother-in-law finally checked things out and discovered the root of the problem.
All of a sudden the 2 connection blocks 1) behind the steering wheel 2) in the nearside foot well had corroded up badly causing bad/no electrical connections. The car had been garaged for over 12 months at my second home without any problem but on bringing back to my home and leaving it on my drive for 3 weeks (covered up with a proper car cover) whilst I found a local garage to keep it overnight, to comply with insurance conditions, it corroded up.
It seems theonly way to solve it is either 1)to get new connector blockswhich I think will not be available, 2) get that part of the wiring loom-again according to Rimmer Bros does not seem to be available or 3) connect and solder each wire individually.
Does anyone know if these parts are available and if so from where?
Many thanks for any help. Staghoss.
