    New Stag Book

Don't think this has been mentioned on the Forum yet but I found this the other day. Published 1st. June this year.

It is another collection of magazine articles about the Stag so no doubt it is very similar to other books of this type. Just read a bit of one article, the Author was moaning that petrol was now 79p a Gallon:shock:.

    Hello Dave.

I think it may be a reprint. I have a similar copy from same author and publisher. It has a yellow Stag NWC 191P on the front cover.

It is marked limited edition 003 and a loose photo of Stag UPU 478K was inserted inside. Anyone know this car?

I've got the Gold Portfolio, this does look like an update and worth having. What do you think Dave, having bought it Martin.

        Quote from front of book:

" It has been over 30 years since we publisehed our first book on the Triumph Stag and its immediate sucess confirmed the popularity of the marque with enthusiasts. A second book quickly followed, and then a more comprehensive Gold Portfolio was produced once the original two titles were out of print. Astonishingly 40 years after the models first appearance, demand for Stag information is as strong as ever and we have been asked, yet again, to update our Stag Portfolio."

I have only had a quick flick through it and the articles I saw didn't look familiar. Having said that I haven't looked at the others much either so I can't really give you much to go on!

I will have a better look later, but must sign off for now, the SE London N&N beckons!

I managed to get a look at this at Beaulieu in May - looks like a good compilation of contemporary articles, but then I've not seen the older book to compare it with.
