ep80 and ep80w

hi all, whats the difference between EP80 and EP80W gearbox oil and can the two be mixed ? I know the EP means extreme pressure but what does the W stand for ? planning to drain,clean filters and refill with clean oil this sunday so really need to know guys !!

EP80 isa specification when hot

EP80W is a specification when cold

The ROM says the Stag gearboxshould be topped up with EP90for temps -10 to +20 and above , or 80W from below -30 to +10

Drain and refillshould use EP75W [1]

thanks for the info, it is a manual with overdrive box. think it's best not to mix the two then and work with one or the other.Dont think the EP75 is available any more though.
