    Weber Kit fitted!

    Hi all.
Just finished fitting the Weber carb kit as supplied by Vmad.
All went well except for the pedestal to inlet manifold bolt had been drilled out and helicoiled by a previous owner and I only found out after removing the strombergs!
The new thread was 12mm and not 3/8unc as supplied by Chris, my solution was to machine the adapter plate supplied in the kit to take an M12 cap head bolt, it worked a treat and the results purr for themselves!
All in all an excellent, easy to fit (as long as nothing has been modified) kit. I will try to upload photo's, but one at a time is really boring and I've got loads. All on facebook, be my friend and you can see them......
Anyway, on with the next mod

Nice 1. I fitted one of Vmads kits and as I said in my post, weber, it's the future!

                  Enjoy

It looks ever so small that twin choke Weber, compared to my Holley at any rate.

                    :?

Just done an MPG check on mine for a mixed seletion of driving including lots of heavy right foot and it came back with 27 MPG ,

                      Cheers Steve

I like the idea of 27mpg!
It is small compared to other carbs (including Webers), but for me this kit is about reliability and ease of use rather than power gains, mind you though, I wouldn't mind a go in yours! Been for a quick drive this morning and it was absolutely brilliant! and personally I am glad to see the back of the Strombergs:P

Power wise it is very close to the Holley i had, but to get 27mpg out of the Holleyi would have to be very light on the gas at all times. The Weber is definatly more user friendly.

                          Cheers Steve
