    Anti roll bar link fitment

    Hi All

After reassembling the suspension to the shell last year and putting it down on its wheels several of the items would not align correctly due to the lack of weight in the bare shell. As parts have been fitted to the car and its the weight has increased, various items have come into proper alignment. For example I was able to fit a socket onto the drag strut rear nuts yesterday to tightent them up. When first fitted they were pointing upwards and no socket would fit.

One pair of items which continue to defy me are the anti roll bar end links. They are fitted to thedrag strut and the bottom rubber and anti roll bar are fitted. However, there is insufficient thread showing through the top rubber to enable the nut to engage.

Any suggestions on how to compress the suspension? Would a trolley jack under thewishbone do the trick?

    Regards

    Bruce

if you loosen the nut that holds them onto the supension arm, you should find there is enough movement to start the nut that attaches the anti roll bar and then tighten it all up. That ishow I did mine (once to fit new useless rubber bushes and then again 6 months later to replace the then perished rubber bushes with poly!)

Might have had a bit of weight but not allon a trolly jack under the arm (to be honest cannot remember)
