Quite often there will be a sensible post made relating to a Stag (or other important issue), when all of a sudden something will be said in a reply that will send the thread completely off topic. I am as guilty as anyone else in this respect, but it can lead to amusing and interesting exchanges on other subjects altogether.
I have no problem with this and think our Moderators take a sensible approach, but what made me raise the subject is that I have just noticed on another Forum I regularly use - as soon as someone starts to deviate away from the main thread topic - a moderator pops up with a little comment (+ graphic). Below is an example which I have just copied from the Tenerife Forum about new Water Dispensing machines that are being installed on various Complexes.
" It is a well know fact that Scottish water is excellent
, however, the topic is about water in Tenerife and we're starting to go
"
I think our Forum gets it just about right, with little interference until things start to get out of hand, and this makes the Stag Forum so good. What do you think?
