auto gearbox problem

As you all know i am selling the stag but it has an issue with the gearbox in that it wont go in gear

This has only come about since i took the centre console out the other week to fit the wallnut dash - so my question is would i have disturbed anything by taking the centre console out as it will go it gear if you shake the car but them slips out again

Is there a quick fix that i can do to sort this problem out as the gearbox has transmission fulid and it is a nice red colour.

the dip stick for the gearbox is on the drivers side which i beleive makes it a BW65 box

Darren not trying to pee you off but I ended up getting my BW 65 done by a specialist company in Glasgow who to be honest did an excelant job, although it was bloody expensive. The guy who did the work has kept in touch so I'll try and get a hold of him If you want me to, let me know and I'll give him a tinkle tomorrow. He has a classic car himnself and is pretty helpfull. He gave me a 12000Mile or 1 x year guarantee with his work. I told him that was not much use to me as I only do about 1000miles per year. His respnse was no problems just use the 12000miles guarantee and he would stand good for it. Seemed pretty genuine.

Darren, just for info, your car will have a BW35 fitted unless it's been changed for a 65. the BW 65 was only fitted at the end of production, I believe 77 cars.

Depends if you took the selector out as well, its possible it could be misaligned. Try pulling all way back into 1 and see if it drives forwards. If not or erratic then suspect box problem.
