Reading the blurb for the items, it looks like he is putting in another non-TV8 engine as had had two failures in a short space of time.

parts all look good
however ,
mentions concours car on several occasions,yet fitted holley and headers!!!!

Can anyone stop this sad situation from becoming carnage?:shock:

It sound like the owner needs to visit this forum. (we can find a piston or two and a couple of colletts cant we?)

Unless the idea is to fit an Audi 40v vee-8 which would be a nice way forward:shock:

i asked the mechanics at work about about Newark engines, they did not give me a good report, but i have no experience of them in all honesty, i dont like to give bad reports without personal experience. i nearly bought a TV8 from them, decided on Wards. glad i did now

I may have mis-understood the blurb, but i thought the seller said that Newark had offered to look over the engine (presumably with the intent to fix it under warranty) but he didn't fancy a round trip of about 500 miles ?

Yep - that was the impression i had ...........engine1 went bang, replaced with engine 2 from Newark, which also failed with a dropped valve/piston damage. Newark had offered to assess the damage to engine 2 but the seller didn't fancy a return trip to Nottingham.
