Has anyone been in touch with Howard recently? Is he still doing Stag engine work privately? I have seen a phone number on here for him from last year, but don't know if it's still current? - 01258 452457

he has just sold a stag engine on ebay - went for 1760.00

He didnt sell it. There is someone in the West who sells them for him (and the one of ebay)and can repair existing engines via the same route. At least thats what he told me.

I think that there is a problem around the crank somewhere on mine but it drives fine and is going well. I need to get the clutch sorted and was thinking about having someone check the crank at the same time.

However, Iam not interested in spending more than a couple of thousand to get it fixed and dont think that the main stag people would do a bill for such works starting with less than a 4.

Most other sources dont seem to be interested.

Given the post on rebuilt engines, this V8S looks nice instead:

If an engine came up for sensible money not too far away i would buy as a spare.

V8S, friend of mine had a couple of the 2.9i 'S' in the early 90's, fantastic car and would deffinately be the TVR i would go for, the 2.9i was very rapid and probably not that far behind the V8.

Have you tried that guy Wes near Brands? He did Franks Clutch and he has had no problems with it. He seems highly recommended amongst the SE London guys.

Just noticed that your home location is given as Munich.

Nice part of Germany you're in.

Have been many times whilst on holiday in the south, will be taking a day trip down with friends in September, whilst we're in Berlin for a week.
