    Hi Guys

    How many things are worng with this one not worth the price IMHO.

    Wrong colour badge on front and MK1 Speedo spotted at a glance.

    I like a challenge :P

    Looking along the front edge of the hood there seems to be some un-evenness that might me worth a quick look.

    Stripe on upside down.

    Looks like balancing weights are on the front of the wheels. (O/S Rear, pic 1).

    Indicators/Sidelights upside down

    Boot lid sitting high on N/S

    Idle oil pressure of 55 psi seems pretty high

    Bezels of dials possibly resprayed - should have chrome on outer edges?

    Something covering engine end of top hose?

    Hot Air hose not connected to air filter box.



    How will that do! Mostly petty/superficial stuff mind you. Body looks pretty tidy from the top apart from the engine bay.

      Seatbelt binnacle oddly far forward.

      Front N/S Wing different shade to the door

      Dash Screws ar silver colour, not black.

      ...Struggling now!

        Perhaps I should balance this out a bit!

        Hood Back window is uncreased suggesting that it is new or well looked after.

        Wheels look tidy.

        Door Shut lines are good.

        Lots of old MOT's



        oops - Front No. Plate is cracked.!


        Air intake to Airfilter box missing.

        Top of Strombergs on the wrong way around.

            Well that's an interesting read from you boys., as I really like the look of that one.

            I wil be watching this for the sake of it as Magenta or French Blue are my colours of choice - when I can start to look seriously

            (The French bloke hasn't answered my email by the way )

              am i missing something here the full n/s of this car looks very poor to me ,a mixture of different shades and the door gaps on n/s looks awful , the offside is more acceptable ,i dont know howit justifies a £8000 buy it now price tag !! more like £4000 i would say ? but hey what do i know !!!!cheers Graham

                Are the stripes upside down? I thought the thin line should be at the top and thought mine was upside down because I have the thick stripe uppermost.

                My oil pressure's that high when cold, drops to 40 when warm. Is that too high?

                  Stripes are correct.

                  There is much debate about oil pressure. The 'standard' pump is usually around 45-50psi cold(on choke)and at 3000rpm when hot. This drops to about 25psi on hot tickover.

                  There are some who have fitted the SAAB pump and this gives higher readings. Sometimes up to 75psi.

                  Some argue that the higher pressure is good for the engine, others that it puts too much pressure on the chain tensioners, resulting in premature wear of the slippers and potential chain breakage.

                  Personally, I trust Triumph/Ricardo Engineering to have fitted the correct oil pump in the first place.

                    Mine runs at 35-40psi on hot all the time, even in sweltering temps with the standard pump, something wrong there?:?should i be worried?

                      That is not a pressure that would worry me - but i may have less paranoia than others !
