    Hello Martin,

The M3 I was talking about is a BMW As for an MGB .............I can barely make myself say the name let alone ever think of buying one!!!!!!

Still they were good jokes...."sports car" and MGB..I don't think so

I have always been a Triumph man....but not owned a Stag to date. Reading on here though I see a number of people have modded theirs to go faster and handle better. I wouldn't be after doing that and will enjoy it for what it is - as I did with my TR5 - a classic sports tourer.

Found it! Page 26 of August 2007 magazine. Kingpin, remember him??, article on Polybushes.

Says polybushes are good for the rear and easier to fit than rubber ones, but has seen three high milage cars with polybushes where the chassis has cracked as a result of polybushes being fitted to the draglinks at the front. Also mentions the antiroll bar mountings needing to flex as well. So he seems to say fit polybushes but not on the draglinks or the anti-roll bar mounts at the front.

We have had a West Yorks members car fitted with poly bushes fail at the chassis \draglink bush but this was with use on VERY ROUGH foreign roads I have heard of no other failures, but would not fit them to the diff as they transmit too much harshness through to the bodyshell. I cannou see the poly bush ( or indeed any form of bush) stopping the anti-roll bar from twisting as it performs as a torsion bar, so I would be happy to fit poly to this bar.

I was also at the Newby Hall show Good wasn't it!
Standard stag thrashed and enjoyed, Nissan Murano ( very underrated, very thirsty, very fast)

Hiya, dark blue, light blue, yellow and red, all with varying degrees of stiffness, the dark blue are nearest to the original but last MUCH longer. Martin.
