    Real Stag Specialist

Can anybody please tell me where the nearest REAL Stag specialist is to me? I am near Chepstow (Severn Crossing close to Bristol), so South Wales, Bristol, South Gloucester, North Somerset would be fine.

If they have a rolling road and true tuning capabilities, that would be a bonus.

    Cheers

Come up to Enginuity in Acton, West London.
2 hours straight up the M4 and you are there.

True Stag specialist with a rolling road.

    No connection blah blah

      Hi Matt

      Try Andrew Puddifer in Newport,
(Puddifer Auto Services 01633 253205. Granville Square, Newport).
He maintains the S Wales area organisers Stag,in fact he did the head gaskets on it around 6 weeks ago.

      Cheers

          Hi Guys,

I actually just got my car back last week from Puddifer's. Very nice guy, very knowledgeable. He serviced the car and tuned it for a very reasonable price. However, he doesn't have a rolling road (not many do so I certainly don't hold that against them) and I'm still not convinced it's running right. Maybe I am expecting too much from the Stag?

I think a rolling road is the only way to know for sure. Anyone know how much a session would cost at Enginuity and does it matter that I have a Weber?

Er, I dont thinkTHwill be pleased to see the Weber doing so well, but I am sure any of the Enginuity guys will like it.

There is a good rolling road in Cheltenham that I've used for the Cobra with great success. They actually understand carburettors too which is a bonus. (In his book on Rover V8s, Des Hammill actually quotes them as being one of the best in the country for (I think) SU carbs). The Cobra has a Weber 500 and they were certainly very good with that. PM for details if you wish.

Yes it is - well sort of! I can't quite work out the arrangement but there is another rolling road right next to Mech repairs- I think it is run by a guy who has split off from them. I've been to both now. There are some highly regarded rolling roads in Tewkesbury too but they're pretty expensive!

Try Circuit Motors in Castle Coombe it's right by the race circuit and they tuned my stag recently to perfection, well recommended.
