Recovering Drivers Seat swab

Ihave purchased replacement foam and vinyl cover for my drivers seat seat back (swab). I have been advised that there is a recommended method of replacing these so if any fellow member who has done this taskhas any recommended way of doing this I would be very grateful, as these items are too expensive to ruin and get wrong.
