Hi Mark
Thats exactly what Ive done but the Rimmers CV prop seems to have made things worse. Think Steves idea of petrol and match is the favoured solution . I can now understand how some people spend loads of money on cars, become disillusioned for whatever reason and stick em in the garage to rot.

Hi Dave,
I had a similar vibration between 50 and 65mph when I converted to MOD. Not too bad with the top down but unbearable and worrying with the hard top fitted. I was well pi55ed off because I'dfitted new UJs before fitting the second hand prop.
Thought about having it balancedbut struggled to find anyone local that could do it, considered messing about trying to balance it with jubilee clips but it seems thatbecause it's a two piece prop and the rubber is 35 yrs old it would most likely always be trouble.
Ended up fitting a Rimmers CV shaft, vibrations completely cured but have read that these shafts may be suspect long term.
Has nobody thought of supplying exhausts with modern flanged clamps on the front pipes? Would make the job a lot easier.

Yes it does Graham, mine starts at 35 and clears about 55 but still occurs even if I stick the clutch in and knock the car out of geararound those speeds so points to something in the drive train after the gearbox. Pete at Yorkshire Triumph said he would swap the prop as a starting point, easier said than done as it means removing the exhaust system again:Xwhich is why Im thinking of letting him do it as its much easier to do with the car on a ramp.

I have a vibration, think it might be propshaft too. Had all the wheels balanced, etc. universal joints ok.
It's around 65mph, can drive through it. Much faster vibe than wheel balance.
Does that sound similar?
