Car will not start after 3 month idle

I followed the instruction - light tap with a screwdriver handle, the ticking started - and the car fired first time.
Absolutely brilliant.

Thanks to everyone for their help - the forum does it again, and my membership fee has easily covered the price of a new pump!!
