I found the same nubers in the book, I was thinking more on the physical side as they both look the same in the photos. I have one for sale and it would be nice to put the correct info.
I think a quick check is that the type 65 has a drain plug and the 35 does not. However, it's not unknown for the later pans to be retro fitted to the 35 so not 100%
I wonder if they are interchangeable? It could be just the ratios that are slightly different (1:1 to 1:2 type 35 and 1:1 to 1.91:1 type 65 according to my haynes)
