Hi Drew,
in my Stag notes I found that I have glued this indicator arm with "UHU Allplast" in 2010. Still working since 4 years. For reinforcement I glued a small piece of wedge shaped wood onto the arm.
In case you have not solved the problem by emptying your wallet you could give it a try.
Enjoy your holiday!

Actually it was me Susiedeer that was asking as I have one broken cancel arm and we have managed to get some UHU Allplast and will be trying your fix this weekend. Thank you for the help, fingers crossed.

Tried your UHU Allplast glue but no luck, each time it broke when trying to cancel.
So, I went with Drew's dental surgery idea and gave it a couple of 0.91mm spring steel implants. Worked out so well, no glue needed at all. But I just had to add a splint using Loctite Activator and Loctite 416. All is well and the patient is recovering well!
Cheers
Andy
