No, that's my own opinion Like I say, I admire the engineering and when I was in the Industry I envied their success, but it's just something about the ethos surrounding the hallowed roundel that gets me - bit like the whole celebrity culture thing.
Talking of which, anyone see the programme last night on superbrands? - made my blood boil
JC isn't quite the to**er that many people think - He is a showman.
I know him quite well and we've had quite a few pretty intellectual discussions but he knows just how to get his audiences going, whether that be for, or against, him ! And his wife, Francie, is a shrewd cookie as well as a lovely lady.
The last time I was with him, he was legging it back up his driveway to get me some more petrol for his off road buggy thing that I was driving !
Cheers
Julian
I wonder how many people know what his mum is famous for?
I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!

Trying to work out the year on your bike.
Later type rear light lens, mid to late 70's,early 70's clocks, cant see if you have a drum or disc brake at the back,Triumph were still using a front drum brake up to 73 I think, are they mk2 Amal carbs?
Is it late 70's?

Spot on Mark it's a 73 last one before they put the gearchange on the wrong side. They were Mk1 amel Mk2 were 75 on, they are Mikuni now. I went for reliabilty instead of originality she's a heavy old girl to push home
