I fitted the "TEX" mirrors - but needed to use the spacing washer (available from LD Parts) to get sufficient movement to see properly.

The US style mirrors with remote adjustment are still available. A Canadian company reproduces them -if you search EBay for AMC Javelin door mirror you'll find them.
I had mine re-chromed and it was possible to switch the remote adjuster from the LH door to the RH door. I had new door cards made so had the upholsterers switch the hole for the joystick to the other side.
