    Challenger Performance alloy wheels

some of you were asking after these

    #2
Who got them then - £312

I was tempted but was unsure if 7in wide would fit with out rubbing. My limit would have been lower any way when
    you consider :-

    or

    Although obviously a different style.

I was tempted but outbid in the last seconds, good value but more than I had to spend right now.

Sorry chaps I just bid slightly more than I was prepared to pay 1/2 hour before it ended and left it to get on with it.

Will post some pics once i have them fitted (not wishing to show off you understand, they might be cr p when i go to get them)

The comment "There is very slight cracking in a couple of places on the surface of the rubber", whilst honest, would have but me right off if I had been thinking of bidding.

You do need to know the manufacture date if you are paying strong money for tyres IMHO.

I think you did well, they should be worth it. I was surprised they were 7J but I think they will fit; lets us know how you get on.

So now for me its back to plan A; some nice 15in Minilites.

I would run with the tyres that come with them first (full load, full lock, hard cornering etc) to make sure there are no clearance problems and then you can decide if you need to change size or profile (60 instead of 65).
No need to risk scraping a new set of tyres.

Thats pretty much what I had in mind. Time to have some fun without worrying about preserving tread. Chances are I'll break something else though
