Has anyone in a 50 mile radius of worthing/brighton have a head removing tool i could borrow /hire, i would collect and return, willing to a leave a deposit, e.g. wife or front cruise lights,[only things ive got of value].Hopefully,John

Where is the oil leaking from?
The only oil gallery is at the front of the head above the water pump, usually it is the timing cover being removed to change the chains that causes leaks at the front end, or the half moons at the rear of the cam cover. Worth checking before removing the head

That's good news. Yet another spot on diagnosis from Neil.
Years ago I had an Audi 80 with 1600cc VW engine, water was peeing out from behind timing belt cover. I checked that water pump was OK. Off with the head, replaced gasket. Water still peed out, then I saw the missing core plug.....Doh.
