Happy new Year all
Hope someone can shed some light on this. I was taking off the front strut the other day to fit some new Spax shocks, and when I undid the bolts to release the strut from the stub shaft assembly some shims dropped out. I had a good look around, and picked up two. They only fit on the bottom bolts, so I Looked in the parts book and concluded they are for adjusting the camber.
All well and good so far, then later I was trying to remove the old original oily innards of the strut and noticed another shim on the floor, even after I had checked all the parts for clingons and escapees!
Is there any circumstance where you would use two shims of one thickness and one of the other, or do I definitely have a missing shim somewhere??
I have two shims of 10 thou and one 4 thou at the moment.
How much difference is 4 thou going to make to the camber anyway???
Any Ideas?
