If you were to look at a MK4 Aston V8 bonnet bulge(Oct1978 to about end of 1985) you will see it is not open at the front and is reasonably attractive(unlike the red stag pictured here),may be I should have Tickford make me a bonnet if Chevy 350 won't fit!

Steady guys - I've had this 15 years and all the bodywork was by PO - I agree that the bulge and other bits aren't great but cannot afford to change anything.
I've been to all of Bobs "Brands Days" as he is so welcoming, however, although a member of SOC, I don't do N&N's / other events etc because of the "anti - modifieds comments" over the years

I'm not going to ask what area you're near, but I assure you the South East London group *love* modified cars and we'd be more than happy for you to come along (actually I'd like to see the front air dam close up!) to the Blacksmith Arms in Sevenoaks on the first Tuesday on the month around 8pm.
We even talked to a guy who came along with his MGC a few times and someone else who turned up in a Morris - now that's tolerant!

Hi Ian, I wouldn't be put off by a couple of comments to stop you enjoying your Stag, there are plenty worse than yours, a Stag is a Stag and there are not that many left now. We get on well with S.E. London area and I am sure they will make you welcome, you might have to go along a couple of times to get to know everyone but they are a good bunch. See you on 1st July for this years Brands bash, I am waiting for confirmation of the tickets etc now, I phoned today but the guys there were at the NEC Racing Car Exhibition.
