Windscreens

Sorry mate, no, I've never seen, or found a record of, a brown screen. The fourth screen is for the fastback, it's slightly taller. The quarter lights come to a point, so it's not a huge difference, but it is there. At my age, you start to accumulate stuff like that - bit sad really. Martin.

Sorry to contradict. Sundym was the trade name for the green tinted glass fitted to all Mk2 Stags (from approx LD20000) and other cars of the era. It is used to describe the windscreen and the side/hardtop glass.

The windscreens with the distinct band across the top (in various colours) were available from glass suppliers as an aftermarket fitment and not as a standard factory option.

Sundym is now used by Pilkington as the trade name for their automatically dimming glass technology: http://www.pilkington.com/automotive...t/default1.htm

I don't think original was mentioned was it ? Sorry about the Sundym error, the first ones I saw, a very long time ago, were called that, so I sort of assumed.
