Disable airbags

After buying a Rover 75 off ebay blind (which is what i seem to like doing) had a air bag fault which is a common fault which lays in the wiring under the drivers seat not a problem if you disconnect the battery and wait around 10 mins you can play all you want on the system, after fixed the fault (broken connector) i changed my steering wheel for a nice genuine aftermarket wooden one, reconnect the battery make sure the air bag light goes out at the right time job done.

To the original question your seats will be ok as the is no system in your car to activate them and just left unpluged i can`t see there being anything to worry about.

An additional safety precaution, to make sure all and any charge storage devices are effectively flattened, is to not only disconnect the battery, but then to short the (loose!) live terminal to earth.

I just watched the You Tube clips.Talk about Dumb and Dumber. Lots of those pranks seemed to hurt... A lot but I will admit to a) laughing and b) not planning to mess with air bags.
