Ever since I've had the car, about two years, there's been a jangling sound from the rear which manifests itself when I go over rough ground or a bump. I've been under the car, I've tightened every nut and bolt, I've had stuff out of the boot all to no avail. It's really been fizzing my p*ss and I've been resigned to trying to tune it out.
Then I took a mate out down the pub today. When we pulled up in the car park he said to me 'I don't know how you put up with those wheel boss discs jangling, that would really annoy me.' Sure enough he was right - the clips holding the aluminium discs in place are a little weak, allowing the discs to rattle around.
If you too are afflicted with a jangling sound and can't work out what it is, have a look at those discs and either get some more clips or bung them up with some clear silicon sealant.

I put some felt between the hub disc an the spring - all silent (night?) now.
