Is It Me? Not Stag related-sorry.

I know of people who did this Christmas shopping by mid October! Is it me or are they missing the point?

By mid-October the shops will already have their own christmas decorations up (grr !), so why not ?

If I could be more organised, shopping early could be more relaxed out and about, leaving December free to just enjoy oneself !

When the kids were young we had a regular pre-Christmas treat. The last weekend before Christmas we all loaded up and drove to the edge of Dartmoor where there was a Christmas tree farm. Spent an enjoyable hour choosing and digging our trees, then stopping off for a cream tea on the way home. Us, kids, sister, b-i-l, nephew & niece, grandparents (x4). Something the kids looked forward to ever year. Our grandkids will be old enough to repeat the experience for another generation in a year or two..........

As a result, the Christmas tree and decs don't go up much before 18th December........

A four week holiday for one in the Caribbean for the trouble & strife ......................... so I can get on with finishing the Stag!!

I'm dead (& single) if she reads this though....
