Did the second one last night in an hour and 15mins and feeling smug. They fitted really well and well made.
This is a job that I have put off since I bought the seals as soon as they were available.

The only problem I had is the tiny nut and bolt that clamps the spindle.

Thinking now about what they actually do, these quarter light glasses, I presume, it just sucks warm air out as when they are open, it deflects air flow.

Although this looks a bit silly, you can actually rotate the quarterlight until the rear edge points forwards and then you can get quite a bit of ram air - really useful when we get the scorching hot summer

      Cheers

I see what you mean Julian and there have been occassions when I could have done with it. I think it was 2 days in 2012 and one day in 2011

Nick. I'm sorry you are "Not impressed" with your quarter light seals. Assuming you have bought the ones SOCTFL funded, I trial fitted a first-off set to my own car, and although it is not a quick job, I can be absolutely certain that ours are very accurate copies of the originals. Mike.

I agree with Mike, they fitted like a dream and the rubber is good quality.

Maybe when I get time I'll remove and re-install them to see if I can get a better fit. I did my install with the window frames out of the car on a bench perhaps they're easier to do with the frame in the door.

                  Hi Nick
I go the front lower pointed section in first as far as it would go, then slowly worked my way to the other corners with a lubriant on the seal and the frame. Try and get all corners in first then it evens out as you do the straights. I could wrinkle if the seal cant slide as its being installed.
