Hi Bruce - yes i usually just zip out the rear window for long loads, i wasn't sure the 4th box would fit in under the T-bar, but no worries. Made for some interesting looks on the Motorway home

    Welcome Simon BTW

What would you suggest to restore aging " oxidized" paint if not T Cut ( this actually for my Range Rover). I have to agree you can't use T Cut very often or you have no paint left!
      Nick
      Hi Nick.
Depending on the level of your paint condition and oxidization it may need a machine polish but if you dont own a machine it can be done by hand with a bit more hard work and effort to good effects.I would recommend using a tri foam applicator to give a little more paint correction and cleaning ability and use something like Scholl Concepts S17+ or S3 gold.

After it will need a polish loads of good polishes on the market it all a matter of taste and preference.
Once you have your required paint finish dont forget to seal it with either a good sealant or a wax to save all your hard work.
My advice if its an every day driver I would use a very hard wearing wax rather than a fancy very expensive wax.
On this i would advise Collinite 476s use a sponge applicator to apply and a micro fibre to buff off.
      Hope thats of some help.
Any further questions feel free to ask www.ctwvaleting.co.uk

            Hi Julian .
Yes some of the Bilt Hamber products are very good.
But remember if using the Bilt Hamber clay use plenty of water as i have found the clay can drag.
I did refer back to using a clay lube as I found this better to be honest rather than just plain water with Bilt Clay.

I have used many products in my time and you quickly learn which is best for the job.
People often ask me whats the best wax or polish or any other product for that matter prices range from £10 up to a couple of hundred pounds for a pot of wax. Personally I would not want to pay much more than £120 for a pot of wax for my top end jobs unless the customer wanted a particular product used on there pride and joy.

Many give the same end results just the higher the carnuba content. The more expensive it tends to be and will give longer lasting protection. On average lets say a £60 to £100 price range for a pot of wax would last about 3 months for a car thats used on a reg basis or left outside before it needs a top up.
Remember polish is not a wax. a wax is just a sealer protector its no good going out and buying a £100 pot of wax and just slap it on it wont make any difference a car needs to be preped first with a good pre cleanser so that a wax can adhere to the paint.
I have been asked what should i use I reply whatever works for you .Yes there are some basic guidance rules to obey in car care.
Can be a mine field with so many products on the market.

              Thanks Cliff,

Like almost any subject, the closer you get to it the more involved it becomes

              Many thanks for your advice.

              Cheers

                  Hi Simon.
Bexleyheath is just down the road from me.
There's a couple of other Stags floating around in Welling & at least a couple of dead ones round Bexley too (shame).
Don't know if you know Julian down at Quiller Triumph in Plumstead ? but I was down there last week & he has 3 or 4 Stags he's breaking out the back.
Just in case you need anything you'd rather not buy new.
I have a few bits too (I also bought a spares car).
I don't have much but if your missing anything feel free to PM me.
You never know I might just have it.

                  And welcome to the Forum.

                  Andy.
