I got the same Smiths gauge with the white plastic / nylon pipe. After reading a post on here about someone who had a fire following a melted oil pressure pipe on the manifold, I got it changed for a braided one. Not had any brake light issues.

Just a thought. Where in the engine bay do your pipes connect all you TV8 boys? Just that my RV8 (I know - wrong engine) has its connection at the front, and I don't know whether the pipe will be the same length.

Yes that would be a problem. The TV8 take off is at the rear of the engine on the drivers side.

Thanks, I thought I'd better check. Looks like I'll need a longer pipe then. Mine is front of engine, driver's side. I'll try to measure it this weekend when I'm back home.

                    Keeny.
Please see Bobs post above, he has fitted one from a classic mini. The above link confirms that a mini one is 48", so a 48" one will fit TV8.

4ft pipe is more than adequate with the TV8, in fact I have "spare" coiled up behind the dash.
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

Thanks Wilf, that's good to know. 4' might be long enough then.

                            Hi Keeny,

Just back from hols and saw your post after I checked out my pipe ! Couldn't easily see the length as I had to coil up a fair bit behind the dash.

I found the original invoice and see that it was a 4' one and it cost £21.07 including delivery and VAT from Demon Tweaks in May 2012.

                            Cheers

                            Julian
