Morning chaps
D&C are well know within TVR circles and I found lots of pictures of their work searching around and I had acquired quotes from a number of places before heading to Blackpool. I was also given their name by a TVR specialist in the Midlands who sends all his cars up there. They are now re trimming the Jensons being restored/improved by a firm I can't remember the name of ...I'll take some pictures of my seats as I have them in my "spares room" at the moment 😄 I have to sort some pictures out for the TVR club so will post the same up here if people are interested.
I think for me apart from the quality of the work, they are just really decently chaps. The TVR carpet is quite a job to fix, so Dave, one of the boys there said if you struggle I'll come down and help you if you cover my train fare for the day! When was the last time you had an offer like that from someone you had purchased something from ?
some of the later model TVR seats in Tuscans and Sagaris are very complex jobs, or at least they look like that to me! So when you see them re trimmed they are stunning. I had also seen their work first hand whilst at the specialists a stunning Segaris which had quilted leather everywhere even the roof lining was quilted leather. I only stuck my head in through and open window but I nearly passed out with the wonderful smell of leather
 getting quite a fetish now
 getting quite a fetish now
i could spend all day in a place like that just watching them work though, you can't beat all those years of experience ! Yes it cost me a couple of days out and two trips to Blackpool 😄but well worth it and for me great to see what's left of the home of the TVR. There are now a number of small specialists set up in the old works restoring all types of cars, from body shops through to trimmers. It's a one stop shop for car restoration, whatever you have, small businesses but lots of experience.
cheers
