Neil - I will bear that in mind for next time, but I have now fitted standard replacements.
As far as I can recall, all of the rubbish driveshaft gaiters I have fitted up to now have had the lettering '610/24' on the small end where it would be covered by the cable tie. The new ones I have bought from Chris Wittor haven't got this lettering so presumably have come from a different (and hopefully better) source.
